RENO, Nev. | Edward Dennis Riekens Sr., 71, passed away Sept. 23, 2013, in Reno, Nev.

Services will be held Oct. 18 in Reno.

Ed was born April 12, 1942 in Mason City, the son of Arthur and Lois (Bemis) Riekens. He entered the Marine Corps after graduating from Mason City High School.

Survivors left to cherish his memory are his mother, Lois; his wife, Aileen; son, Wayne, and daughter Terrie Lynne, and sons, Ed Jr., and Bradley; brothers, Norman, and Sid; sisters, Sharron, Janyce, Dianne and Judy; a sister-in-law, Wanda Riekens; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Art, and brother, Jim.
