Larry Gordon McDougle

NAVARRE, Fla. — Larry Gordon McDougle, 65, of Navarre, Fla., passed away Monday morning (Jan. 22, 2007) at his residence.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:15 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2, 2007, at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Larry’s name to Covenant Hospice, 5041 N. 12th Ave., Pensacola FL 32504.

Larry was born on May 10, 1941, in Mason City, Iowa, to the late Gordon McDougle and Gladys Gardinier McDougle. He served his country as an Air Force staff sergeant and Vietnam veteran, working as a maintenance management technician and airlift/bombardment aircraft maintenance technician.

After his retirement in June 1980, Larry worked on base as a security guard contractor.

In his spare time, he enjoyed singing and playing the guitar, building model aircraft and spending time with his six grandchildren.

Larry is survived by his wife, Jane; daughters, Deborah Palpallatoc, and husband, Paul, and Kathleen Howell, and husband, Joel; grandchildren, Mallisa Marler, Mariah Palpallatoc, Miranda Howell, Devon Palpallatoc, Lauren Palpallatoc and Elizabeth Howell; sister, Connie Fuller, and husband, Denny; his beloved, Tuffy; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
