Glen F. Redington MASON CITY - Glen F. Redington, 64, of 813 N. Polk Ave. in Mason City, died Tuesday (March 20, 2007) at home. No public visitation or service is planned; a private inurnment will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City. Cremation has taken place at Cremation Services of North Iowa in the care of Fullerton Funeral Home, 123 Second St. S.E. in Mason City. Those wishing to convey condolences or other expressions of sympathy may wish to direct them to Glen's daughter, Mindy K. Hickman, 214 Oakland Ave., Janesville, WI 53545. Glen Frank Redington, the only son of Frank D. and Wilhilmina (Bender) Redington, was born on April 24, 1942, in Mason City. He graduated from Mason City High School and remained a resident of Mason City all his life. Glen was inducted into the United States Army on Oct. 24, 1961. After honorable and faithfully serving his country, Glen was formally discharged from his military duties on Oct. 23, 1967. In 1965, Glen was united in marriage to Sandra Schreckengost. They became the proud parents of a daughter, Mindy Kaye. Glen was a self-employed carpenter and expressed his trade and talent in the completion of years of remodeling projects. He was a member of the Carpenter's Labor and Management Union, the Twin Cities Carpenters and Joiners Union and the Moose Lodge of Mason City. Some of Glen's other interests included games of chance at area casinos, dining out, playing cards and watching football games, especially cheering for the Minnesota Vikings and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Glen is survived by his daughter, Mindy K. Hickman of Janesville, Wis., and was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Wilhelmina Redington, and a sister, Kay Redington.
